BenRiach Maderensis Fumosus

Release in July 2008, 'Madercensis Fumosus' (Latin for 'smoky Madeira') is a heavily peated BenRiach, aged 13 years old, originally matured in American oak, then finished in Madeira wine barrels.

This is the 4th expression of BenRiach where we have selected the base whisky as the peated version to BenRiach Malt and exposed it to the influence of cask finishing, following on from the 12 years old versions finished, respectively, in Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks, Aged Tawny Port casks and Jamaican Dark Rum casks.

Bottled at 46% (92 proof), non chill filtered and natural colour, availability is limited, with 1st production of just 400 cases / 2400 bottles.

TASTING NOTES
